Tim leads Friendsurance.de with the focus on building a game-changing company in the insurance space based on a fair peer to peer model. In 2010, the founders of Friendsurance realised that it is not fair to pay insurance premiums year after year, even if you do not have any claims. This is why they developed the first peer-to-peer insurance model that rewards small groups of customers with a cashback bonus each year if their group remains claimless. So far more than 80% of users have received a cashback. In the property insurance line the average cashback has been 30% of the paid premiums. The claims-free bonus is the first in a series of insurance solutions aimed at making insurance customer-friendly. Around 90 employees from 20 nations work passionately towards achieving this goal at Friendsurance’s Berlin headquarters. Tim has a M.Sc. from WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management.
